About Us
Ommiedraai & Friends is a Western Province Athletics (WPA) registered running club. The club was established in October 2008, stemming from the well-known Ommiedraai Hiking Friends. In April 2010, WPA confirmed the membership of Ommiedraai & Friends Athletics Club (OFAC) and from then onward, the bright orange gear featured on this website regularly appears at races, with much popularity.
How to get your items
Self-collect
There's no delivery fee applicable as we do not ship any items. This store is for placing orders and self-collection only. We can give you location options for collection, these will be of members of the Exco team who have volunteered to be collection points, however, the best place to collect is at our weekly training runs.
PLEASE ORDER IN ADVANCE (not a day before you need it). This store is run and stock managed by an Exco team volunteer (not a full-time paid post). We will however endeavor to assist you as best we can but we recommend ordering at least a few days before you need your items so no one has to run around trying to get it to you. Thanks for understanding.
How to pay for your items
Pre-pay via EFT, SnapScan or Credit Card (YOCO)
There are 3 payment options: via EFT into our FNB bank account or if you have a SnapScan account, scan our code to pay, alternatively, you can pay via YOCO with your bank card.
Your items need to be paid for before they will become ready for collection. Simply use a clear reference so we know it's your payment and what it is for and send the proof of payment to us via email.
NOTE: Items are not reserved. Your unpaid order does not secure your item. They are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your payment secures your order.

Do you require a licence?
Most road running races are sanctioned by Athletics South Africa (ASA) and/or Western Province Athletics (WPA). Affiliation to these associations is done through a temporary license you purchase for each event or an annual license for the calendar year. To be licensed for the year you have to belong to a running club. We can assist you with a permanent license, renewable each year. This is beneficial to you in many ways, but especially if you are participating in several road races annually, having a club license is much cheaper than buying a temp one each time.
